Howdy folks,

🤔📰 Today's big news is Ethereum might be getting a gas overhaul, thanks to Vitalik Buterin.

He’s proposed a new model, EIP-7706, to make transaction fees cheaper and the network faster. But here’s the kicker: it might not solve the congestion during peak times, and we're still a ways off from Ethereum’s ultimate scaling solution with its danksharding roadmap.

😰📉 Over in Nigeria, the government's tightening its grip on crypto with a fresh crackdown on exchanges. KuCoin just suspended its support for the naira on its p2p platform, making it the latest to bow out amid fears of a complete ban.

This comes as the Nigerian SEC stirs up more regulatory dust, potentially pushing p2p trading underground and heightening scam risks.

🌍💼 S&P Global's got eyes on tokenized treasuries, predicting they could bring traditional finance onto the blockchain. Over $1 billion in tokenized treasuries are circulating, with big players like BlackRock and Franklin Templeton betting big

These digital tokens offer on-chain liquidity and faster international transfers, but regulatory and interoperability challenges loom large.

🧐🔄 Vanguard’s CEO shuffle has the crypto world buzzing. Salim Ramji, an ex-BlackRock exec known for his Bitcoin-friendly stance, has taken the helm. The community is hopeful this could signal a shift in Vanguard's staunch "No Bitcoin" policy.

But it's still up in the air whether this change will actually lead to a crypto embrace at Vanguard.
