💸 Stanford to Return FTX's Generosity Amid Controversy

Imagine getting a generous donation, only to later discover it might be tainted with controversy.

This is the conundrum Stanford University finds itself in. The esteemed institution announced plans to hand back millions donated by FTX, a now-bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange.

Why the sudden change of heart?Apart from them wanting nothing to do with that snakey family!! 🐍FTX has launched a lawsuit against the parents of SBF, Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried, both of whom teach at Stanford Law School.The core of the accusation: Sam allegedly funneled over $5.5 million of FTX's money as donations to Stanford, his employer.Now that just screams, "I'm up to no good!" 🙈Allegations suggest they used their sway at FTX to bankroll political and charitable causes, including this hefty donation to Stanford, to polish their reputations.

The lawyers for Bankman-Fried's parents, however, likened these allegations to a fictional drama, dismissing them as "completely false."
