🔒 Buterin's Staking Pause: Security vs. Efficiency Debate

Ethereum co-founder, Vitalik Buterin, has admitted to staking only a small fraction of his ETH holdings, citing concerns over the current infrastructure's safety. 

In a recent Bankless Podcast interview, Buterin outlined the security risks of staking all his ETH, especially with keys required to be public on a constantly online system. 

Erm…that’s not great marketing, Vit! 🤦

Noting that setting up multi-signature staking is still challenging, he sparked a response from Cardano's creator, Charles Hoskinson. 

Hoskinson retorted that all his ADA is staked, implying the importance of a well-structured Proof-of-Stake protocol. 

Charles knows how to promote! 👍

Buterin praised the EigenLayer protocol, which could help Ethereum validators re-stake assets onto burgeoning networks, though he cautioned against the centralization risks this could bring. 

Buterin ended by expressing sympathy towards other projects facing regulatory hurdles, considering it an unfair advantage if Ethereum "wins" due to their removal from exchanges.

Twitter's fight against fake followers is far from over, especially in the realm of cryptocurrency. 

As per dappGambl data, nearly 10% of followers of key crypto accounts are fake.

Even after Elon Musk's Twitter Blue implementation – an $8 monthly subscription for verification – this digital deception persists. 

Shiba Inu holds the dubious distinction of having the most fake followers (10.26% or 80,000 accounts) among crypto tokens, followed by Avalanche (8.14%) and Polygon (7.58%). 

Definitely not small numbers! 🧮

The relationship between fake followers and Twitter accounts depends on token popularity, suggests dappGambl. 

The data also revealed an interesting sentiment dichotomy - while Dai (DAI) is the most loved coin on Twitter, XRP (XRP) often gets associated with scams, underlining the varying perception of digital currencies among Twitter users.
