SEC Sues Tron Founder Justin Sun

In today’s round of who is the SEC suing….It’s Justin Sun’s turn.At this point, we find ourselves caught between a rock and a hard place. Yes, we want all the bad actors out of crypto, but having Darth Gensler and the SEC be judge, jury, and executioner feels wrong!!

On Wednesday, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission charged Sun with fraud, alleging that Sun’s companies engaged in a market manipulation scheme involving wash trading to artificially inflate the price of TRX and create a false perception of investor interest.

Speaking as high-inquisitor for the SEC, “Gray Gary” said:

“This case demonstrates again the high-risk investors face when crypto asset securities are offered and sold without proper disclosure." 

At this point, does anybody believe a word that comes out of his mouth? Hey…SEC, you need a figurehead change.

Coinbase Suspends Algorand Staking

Oh, we’re not done with Gary’s stooges yet!Coinbase recently disclosed that the SEC alleged the U.S.-based company might be in violation of securities laws with its staking services. The often “anti-crypto” regulator has served Coinbase with a "Wells Notice" that informs the business that the agency is planning future action.

Coinbase told its customers on Wednesday that it will no longer offer Algorand token rewards as of March 29th, although the token will still be available to trade.A Coinbase spokesperson gave no specific reason for terminating Algorand rewards but stated that “all rewards from the Algorand governance period ending March 31st will be paid in early April.”

Gary, Gary, Gary, have you ever heard of the phrase “choose your battles”?

Going after an American publicly traded company that is therefore not dodgy and is lawyered up the wazoo, will not be easy.

Telegram users can now send each other the largest stablecoin, USDT, within chats in the messaging app using the @wallet bot.Oooh, this smells like the kinda move that prompts mass adoption!

Integrating crypto payments into messaging apps like Telegram should make sending cryptocurrency as familiar and easy as sending a text and would be an extremely positive development for mainstream adoption.The addition of USDT could therefore prove to be an essential development for the future of Telegram…and it gives me excited butterflies.
