Rumours About Crypto in GTA VI Are Back

Tether co-founder, Reeve Collins, caused a bit of a stir on Twitter yesterday when he posted a video mentioning rumors that Rockstar Games may integrate blockchain tech into the next installment of the Grand Theft Auto franchise, GTA VI.

Given that its predecessor, GTA V, sold upwards of 175 million copies (according to Collins), this could be huge for crypto gaming. We could see NFT collectibles of vehicles, characters, and locations from the much-loved series.Add this to the fact that the GTA fan base is tech-savvy and would be best placed to make this a huge success.

On the other hand, these rumors have been wandering around the crypto field for more than two years. Every time somebody mentions crypto in GTA VI, the crypto community starts playing the same broken record repeatedly. Anyways, Rockstar games definitely have the right kind of vibe, whether the new game will have any relation with crypto and blockchain or not.

Meta Get Chatty and Changes Direction

Androidesque Meta founder Mark Zuckerburg announced on Facebook yesterday that the company would focus on an AI-powered chatbot to rival OpenAI's ChatGPT.

Following the less-than-attractive quarterly figures for Meta, they have shifted focus away from their metaverse project, calling 2023 their “year of efficiency.”

However, Meta isn't the only company with its gaze firmly held on AI Chatbot dominance. Microsoft, Google, and OpenAI all have their chatbot projects in full swing. Snapchat has also unveiled plans to launch its own ChatGPT-powered bot.

Not one to be left out in the cold, Twitter owner Elon Musk can’t resist getting his sticky little fingers in the chatbot jam jar!

So, with all the usual suspects accounted for; the next question is, which one will go wrong and take over the world?

The sheer number of times we’ve seen headlines like this about Solana recently! The entire Solana network was ”stuck” for more than a day over the weekend; it was only “fixed” when validators agreed to restart the network.

“At approximately 05:46:16 UTC 2023-02-25, Solana Mainnet Beta suffered a significant performance degradation,” the developers said. “Eventually leading the validator community to opt for a restart of the network. The cause of this is still unknown and under active investigation.”
