Privacy. 

Because Ethereum is a public blockchain, anything you put into it becomes public. Everything from transactions to NFTs

(and anything else you may be doing on the blockchain).

Buterin being Buterin, proposed what he called a simple solution. 

Stealth addresses. 

They are one-time addresses that obfuscate one’s public key so they can't be traced.

For this to work, Buterin believes crypto wallet providers will have to add built-in options for implementing them natively.

Buterin acknowledges that this could create difficulty in tracking down bad actors, but notes that zero-knowledge proofs could be used to solve that.

More Problems for Mango Market Exploiter

The other shoe has fallen…finally.

The SEC has decided that Avraham Eisenberg’s “highly profitable trading strategy” wasn’t exactly “legal.”

Here’s the story:

In October, Eisenberg manipulated Mango Markets to the tune of $116 million. 

The U.S. Department of Justice, the CFTC, and now the SEC have all filed charges against Eisenberg.

The SEC's latest charges center around market manipulation and violating anti-fraud and securities laws.

Eisenberg is now facing “parallel criminal and civil charges” and has been arrested and detained in Puerto Rico.

The 27-year-old will remain in detention until his hearing.

It might be best to stay away from any Cardano-loving friends for the next few days. 

Cardano was tested with fire. 

And came out like a phoenix this weekend. 

More than half of all Cardano nodes were forced offline over the weekend. Some nodes were

disconnected

from the blockchain, and others were forced to restart.

The blip which happened between blocks 8300569 and 8300570 forced production to be slowed down for a few minutes.

The Cardano network recovered without external intervention.

Operations are back to normal, but the root cause of the blip remains under investigation.

Back to the leading question.

The decentralization of Cardano is being questioned if more than 50% of nodes can go offline instantly if they are all public nodes.

While that remains a mystery, Cardano has worked almost hiccup-free for more than five years. A good reputation.
