Howdy folks,
💼🔗 Experts are voicing concerns about Donald Trump and his sons' involvement in a new crypto venture, citing potential conflicts of interest. As Trump aligns himself with the crypto community ahead of the 2024 election, ethics watchdogs warn that his sons' DeFi platform, World Liberty Financial, could benefit from his pro-crypto policies.
Trump's campaign dismisses these concerns as partisan attacks, but the issue remains contentious.

📉🧑💻 Vitalik Buterin has refuted claims that he sold Ether for personal gain after Lookonchain reported substantial ETH transfers from his address. Vitalik clarified that the transfers, amounting to 3,800 ETH, were intended to support various valuable projects rather than for personal profit.

🛡️⚠️ Microsoft has flagged a North Korean threat actor, known as Citrine Sleet, for exploiting a vulnerability in Google's Chromium to steal crypto assets. The hacker group uses social engineering, creating fake cryptocurrency websites and applications, to deploy unique trojan malware, AppleJeus, and gain control over users’ digital assets.
While Google patched the vulnerability, users are urged to update immediately to safeguard their crypto holdings.
🚨🔒 In August, the crypto industry faced over ten security incidents, with hackers making off with around $313.86 million. Phishing attacks were the most devastating, resulting in an astounding $293.4 million loss, including a $238 million unauthorized Bitcoin transfer.
Unsettlingly, this surge in theft highlights vulnerabilities that may persist even as recovery efforts, like Ronin's $12 million reclaim, show some resilience.
